The cap is white, becoming a bit yellow with age.

its texture is fibrous.

The gills are free, crowded . The spore print is brown. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground.

The fruiting period takes place from July to November.
Dimensions: width of cap approximately 13 cm (between 10 and 15 cm)
  height of stem approximately 12 cm (between 10 and 14 cm)
  thickness of stem (at largest section) approximately 30 mm (between 20 and 35 mm)

Chemical tests : positive reaction to Schaeffer's test.


Agaricus excellens is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is infrequent, more generally speaking .
