The cap is greyish brown to olive brown. The cap surface is smooth, not viscid nor sticky. The flesh is grey-brown, unchanging; its taste is mealy; the odour is mealy; its texture is fibrous. The gills are whitish grey, decurrent to adnate, crowded (nb of gills per 90° ~ 17 ). The spore print is white. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground, with pine, spruce. The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
