The cap is pale yellow to yellow-brown, conical to convex then expanded. The cap surface is smooth, not viscid nor sticky.

The stem is pale yellow, dark towards base, with a mobile ring.

The flesh is yellow, brown in stem base, unchanging; the odour is mealy or acidic; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are beige to ochre-red, adnate, crowded (nb of gills per 90° ~ 21 ). The spore print is red brown. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground, on decaying straw or on the bare ground.

The fruiting period takes place from November to December.
Dimensions: width of cap approximately 2.5 cm (between 1 and 3.5 cm)
  height of stem approximately 3.5 cm (between 2.5 and 4.5 cm)
  thickness of stem (at largest section) approximately 4 mm (between 2 and 5 mm)

Distinctive features : mobile ring around stem; silky stem above ring, cottony below; yellowish flesh, darkening towards base

Conocybe percincta is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
