The fruiting body is flattened club-shaped, smooth, the top resembling a glove's finger, black. The fertile surface is smooth. It grows on the ground, in the grass, on sandy soils. The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet Geoglossum cookeianum is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is occasional, more generally speaking .
