The fruiting body is flattened club-shaped, smooth, the top resembling a glove's finger, black.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, in the grass, on sandy soils.

The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 2.5 cm (between 0.5 and 10 cm)
  total height approximately 5 cm (between 3 and 7 cm)
