The cap is dark reddish-brown centre, star-shaped, disrupting towards the margin in large pale scales, on a ochre-cream background. The cap surface is scaly, not viscid nor sticky.

the odour is pleasant; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are adnate, crowded . The spore print is white. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground.
Dimensions: width of cap approximately 15 cm (between 6 and 30 cm)
  height of stem approximately 14 cm (between 6 and 20 cm)
  thickness of stem (at largest section) approximately 35 mm (between 10 and 70 mm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Macrolepiota venenata is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is infrequent, more generally speaking .
