section 4: shape of the margin of the cap

In this section, we must select the shape of the margin of the cap among the possibilities proposed. Most common types are "smooth", if the margin is so, or "striate or furrowed" in cases where we can see more or less deep furrows on the margin. The margin can also sometimes have hanging pieces of the original veil. If the margin of the cap looks striate by transparency (light coming from under cap), select "striate or furrowed". When in doubt, choose "I don't know".

Examples:

The margin is here perfectly smooth and even, select then "smooth"     The margin is here clearly striate, select then "striate or furrowed"     We can see hanging irregular shaggy remnants in this example, select then "with veil remnants, flaky or toothed"     The margin is wavy here, sélectionner select therefore "wavy"
