The fruiting body is tongue-shaped or club-shaped, resembling a glove's finger, smooth and longitudinally furrowed, sometimes shiny, tapering towards base, with an olive green internal surface, the external being of similar colours, with a fluffy, pale olive-green stem, not clearly marked from the fertile head.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, amongst moss, with deciduous trees.

The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 0.5 cm (between 0.2 and 0.7 cm)
  total height approximately 3.5 cm (between 1 and 6 cm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Microglossum viride is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
