The fruiting body is shaped like a branched shrub, with cylindrical branches, bright pink then ochre yellowish with shades of pink-salmon, without stem, but with a massive white trunk.

The flesh is whitish, marbled;

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, in broad-leaved woods, with beech.

The fruiting period takes place from August to October.
Dimensions:
  total height approximately 7 cm (between 4 and 10 cm)

Distinctive features : branched; ochre-yellow tips

Ramaria fagetorum is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
