The fruiting body is funnel-shaped, split on one side, with an orange-pink to red-orange internal surface, the external being violet pink, with a whitish stem, veined or furrowed, which is but a thickening of the fertile top. The fertile surface is smooth. It grows on wood, on buried wood of coniferous or broad-leaved trees, on a rather calcareous soil, on spruce, beech. The fruiting period takes place from July to December.
Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet Tremiscus helvelloides is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
