The fruiting body is spherical, covered with fine spines or warts, white then yellow-brown. The fertile surface is internal: the spores are released as dust when mature. It grows on the ground, in broad-leaved and coniferous woods, with pine, oaks. The fruiting period takes place from July to September.
Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet Bovistella radicata is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is very rare, more generally speaking .
