The cap is lemon yellow to orange yellow, non blackening, convex to conical then expanded, with a very sharp umbo; its margin is striate. The cap surface is smooth, very viscid.

The stem is same colour as cap, viscous.

The flesh is yellowish; its taste is mild; the odour is weak or not distinctive; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are whitish or with same colour as cap, adnate to emarginate, not very crowded . The spore print is white. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground, in unfertilized meadows, lawns, wood edges.

The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
