The fruiting body is cup-shaped or spherical and hollow, buried, possibly later opening into a star-shape, internal surface: cream.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, on sandy grounds.

The fruiting period takes place from April to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 2 cm (between 1 and 3 cm)
  total height approximately 2.5 cm (between 2 and 3 cm)


Sepultaria arenicola is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
